The Prophet ﷺ said, “When a person dies, their deeds come to an end except for three things: ongoing charity (Sadaqah Jariyah), beneficial knowledge, or a righteous child who prays for them.”
The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said, “The example of the guidance and knowledge that Allah sent with me is like rain falling on the earth. Some land is good and absorbs the water, leading to plenty of grass and plants. Some land is barren but holds the water, benefiting people who drink from it and feed their animals. Then, there is land that is dry and does not hold water or grow anything. This represents those who understand Allah’s religion and benefit from what He has sent; they learn and teach others. On the other hand, those who ignore this guidance are like the dry land that does not accept the water.
